Language that starts the clock of history when it’s most convenient
You missed a step. Language that decides unilaterally when to start or stop time does not recognize a chain of causality. Insincerely, it absolves or assigns blame, elevates or denigrates, and guilts or gaslights. This cherry-picking of timelines is sometimes very blatant. Consider this example:
The badger administration is weighing unfreezing 1 billion in funds that the rabbits’ country could use for humanitarian relief, amid negotiations for badgers to reenter the multilateral deal and bring rabbits back into compliance with its terms.
Of note here is that the badgers broke the agreement, unilaterally, before the rabbits fell out of compliance. The latter is referenced, the former isn’t.
